The Cadillac XLR-V is a luxury sports car that was first introduced in 2004 as a concept car. It was officially launched in 2006 and produced until 2009. The XLR-V was designed to compete with other luxury sports cars like the Mercedes-Benz SL and the BMW 6-Series.
The Silverado Medium Duty trucks were launched in 2018 as a replacement for the long-running Chevrolet Kodiak/ GMC TopKick, which ran from 1980 to 2009. Co-developed with Navistar International, the successor to the International Harvester brand, Chevrolet would produce these trucks at Navistar’s facility in Springfield, Ohio.
The Cadillac XLR was a rear wheel drive, two seat roadster from 2004-2009. Although sales projections fell short, the XLR has the capability to become a future collectible based on being a unique offering from the brand, derived from sleek, futuristic looks, with sports car performance to match.
The XLR began as the 1999 Cadillac Evoq concept, which was a look into Cadillac’s “Art and Science” Design Era at the turn of the century. The Evoq resembled a longer, more aggressive XLR, but presaged other upcoming models like the CTS and SRX.
The ATS-V was first introduced in 2014 as Cadillac’s effort to combat Bavaria’s well-known, exceedingly solid compact performance sedans and coupes. Unveiled at the LA Auto Show, the new V-Series was an expansion of the ATS line range and featured both a sedan and coupe. On the exterior, the ATS-V coupe features performance aspects such as a carbon fiber hood, widened fenders that accommodate wider wheels, front splitter, and larger grill openings.
