This 1966 Cadillac Coupe Deville represents the sixth generation of Cadillac’s DeVille line, which ran from 1965 to 1970. This generation was renowned for its long hood, striking grill, and prominent tail fins, measuring nearly 19 feet in length. This staggering size is almost 2 feet longer than Cadillac’s last full-sized sedan, the CT6, which ran until 2020.

In this timespan, Cadillac was at the forefront of automotive technology, with the 1966 Coupe DeVille could have been equipped with various advanced features for its time, such as automatic climate control and power accessories, which were still considered quite modern and luxurious.

Powering this beast was the standard 429 cubic-inch (7.0-liter) V8 engine. This engine provided ample power and smooth performance, in line with Cadillac's reputation for producing comfortable yet powerful luxury vehicles.

This particular example comes from Fort Worth, Texas. Frank Kent Cadillac customer Wes Cooper is the 4th owner of this ‘66 Deville, which returned to the Dallas-Fort Worth Area after its original sale from a Dallas area dealership nearly 57 years ago. This DeVille began its life as a green-on-green car optioned with features such as air conditioning, AM-FM radio, and power locks. Cooper, a custom vehicle enthusiast, and Murray Kustom Rods of Fort Worth painted the car maroon and fitted the interior with a matching maroon and red interior. Then, Truespoke wire wheels (popular among the lowrider crowd) and whitewall tires went on. Finally, Murray’s in-house airbag kit were installed, creating a superb combination of a rather OEM-looking appearance with well-suited custom touches.

Cooper purchased the Coupe DeVille as a family car, with room in the backseat for 2 car seats. Being able to share his passion with the whole family is important and he hopes to share the car with them for many years to come.
